To new beginnings...

I've wanted to write a BLOG for over a year now, but could never find the time to actually get started. Plus, it seemed like alot of pressure. What if it's not funny? What if nobody reads it? Should I tell my friends and family about it? How will they react to my posts? I kept telling myself that I'd never have the answers to those questions unless I actually got off my lazy ass and started writing. Being the Queen of Procrastination, I decided to get started right after Christmas ('04). When I missed that deadline, I decided to get started right after Easter. Then it was pushed off until after the July 4th weekend. And here we are in 2006. Better late than never, right?
So here's a little background. I moved to Union City, NJ two years ago and have spent every day since wishing I could move back to Brooklyn, NY. Living in NJ is like living in a parallel universe-everything is similar, but just slightly different. I moved here to be closer to my fiance, Eric, who, after a lengthy engagement, became my husband on August 20th. In a nutshell, I'm thirty-five years old and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I'm hoping that this BLOG will provide me with an outlet to explore ideas and discover new things about myself. So here's to a wonderful new year, full of new challenges and new beginnings. I look forward to sharing it with you. Mazeltov.
